Maybe Not by Colleen Hoover

When Warren has the opportunity to live with a female roommate, he instantly agrees. It could be an exciting change.
Or maybe not.
Especially when that roommate is the cold and seemingly calculating Bridgette. Tensions run high and tempers flare as the two can hardly stand to be in the same room together. But Warren has a theory about Bridgette: anyone who can hate with that much passion should also have the capability to love with that much passion. And he wants to be the one to test this theory.
Will Bridgette find it in herself to warm her heart to Warren and finally learn to love?
In Maybe Not, we get to know Warren and Bridgette a little bit better than we did in Maybe Someday. We learn how their weird relationship started, why Bridgette’s so mean and reserved, and why Warren has such strong feelings for her.
I enjoyed this more than Maybe Someday. I found myself more invested in Warren and Bridgette than Sydney and Ridge. I’m not sure why but I choose Maybe Not over Maybe Someday any day.
Again, Colleen Hoover has sucked me into another tale, a novella, and I could read a full book of Bridgette’s snark and Warren’s wit, Bridgette’s angry retorts and Warrens pleas for niceness.
This book gave me a good dose of characters I can relate to, situations I could easily picture, and taking me back into a world I’ve already visited.
As far as the lovey-dovey factor, there isn’t much, and I was happy with that. With someone like Bridgette, it was very one-sided, and I enjoyed that.
My absolute favorite part was the ending. That was the cutest part and it did make me squeal.
